Medicaid was there for Raevin when she was growing up in the foster system. Now, as her daughter Grace suffers from health issues that have resulted in multiple hospital stays, it is still there for her.
“We are very thankful for Medicaid,” Raevin says. “Who knows where we would be with the medical bills without it?”
Medicaid’s support goes beyond this important medical coverage—an innovative part of Nebraska’s program also allows Raevin to obtain diapers and other needed products for her children.
Today Raevin works for a local children’s organization. The opportunity to give back to her community and the support provided by Medicaid bring Raevin a tremendous peace of mind. “Not having that stress, I just feel like a load has been lifted off of my shoulders,” Raevin says.
