When Noah began a prestigious fellowship in 2019 teaching English in Colombia, the program provided him with health insurance.
Noah’s fellowship was abruptly cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, so he returned to live with his parents in the United States, without a job or health insurance.
Noah was able to quickly sign up for the Medicaid program, bringing him a great sense of relief during a difficult time.
“Medicaid takes a huge weight off my shoulders, especially with the ongoing health crisis,” Noah says. “If something were to happen now, I know I’m not going to financially damage my family.”
